I’m Kimberly and I serve the web and graphic design needs of entrepreneurs, artists, and other creatives like you.
My clients have included small businesses, creative entrepreneurs and organizations. On my main website, I provide content that encourages and inspires you in practical ways as you share your talents with your audience.
When working on design projects, I don't just create "pretty things". I want to help you understand how to successfully share your vision in print and online, from developing your brand, creating effective content, and spreading the word.
#PureMichigan Pride & Education
I'm in the “Thumb” of the Mitten State, Michigan. You’ll find I’m pretty passionate about all things Michigan, from our gorgeous Great Lakes to the small businesses, artists, and musicians that call Michigan their home.
Never Stop Learning
I graduated from Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan, in the Upper Peninsula along Lake Superior. My Art and Design degree is in “Industrial Media” which at the time included Photography, Electronic Imaging, and Graphic Design.
I was part of one of the first graduating classes to implement computers in design. While in my final year of college, my academic advisor urged me to never stop learning. He explained with the nature of how fast our industry of design was changing due to computers and computer programs, all designers would need to work hard to stay on top of those changes. He encouraged me to commit to taking at least a couple of classes each year to stay current.
I'm proud to say I have done just that.
Thanks to the wonders of the Internet, my education didn’t end at graduation, and yours doesn’t need to either. I continue to learn and grow with courses online through websites like Skillshare, Stone River Learning, Udemy, Lynda.com, and Hubspot Academy, not to mention Tuesdays Together with the Rising Tide Society.
Of course, there are always bookstores to visit and books to learn from too.
More About Me
Life isn't just about professional accomplishments and developments though, so here's a little more about me when I'm not working on a project...
I’m the proud mom of five adult kids and I’ve been married to my partner in crime, Martin, for over 27 years. During my kids' younger years, I gave up trying to "do it all". Instead, I focused more on them (and all of the errands, appointments, activities and crazy that comes with having young ones) while taking on freelance projects.
I’m the dog mom to Indy, my loveable Keeshond. She's a weird dog at times but I love her. Probably should have named her velcro though.
The kids brought their own furbabies into our family, making me dog grandma to Jade (a Pointer/Lab/Dane rescue) and kitty grandma to Rory and Rocket (both rescued Maine Coons), as well as Jack and Jasper (our dumpster kitties).
I consider coffee an integral part of the design process, as my java addiction helps me bring design projects to life. You’ll find me in small craft coffee shops all over Michigan as much as time allows.
